Las Posadas

Each year during Advent Las Posadas are celebrated.
Las Posadas is a
reenactment of the pilgrimage to Bethlehem made by Mary and Joseph.  Host families play the role of the innkeepers while their guests act as the pilgrims, Mary and Joseph.  Posadas begin on December 16th and end with Midnight Mass on December 25th.

Please see the excerpt from the bulletin for the schedule of locations, sponsors, and times.

Our Lady of Guadalupe

Each December 12th, the San Ignacio community celebrates with joy the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
This holy day
commemorates the appearance of Mary to San Juan Diego in Mexico, in 1531.

In 2021, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe fell on the 3rd Sunday of Advent.

To mark this special day, the Marian prayer garden was commemorated.

Fiesta de San Ignacio

Each year we celebrate the life and charism of our patron saint, St. Ignatius of Loyola, whose feast day is July 31st.

We want to thank everyone who donated their time, talents, and treasures to make our Fiesta a possibility!  We want to thank the Fiesta Committee for all the preparations they made.  We want to thank everyone who made a donation for the Silent Auction and the other booths.  We couldn’t have done it without you!  Thank you so much for all the support.
